project life 2015 : april 1

May 4, 2015

Today I’m sharing one spread with you, from the first half of April. As I mentioned in this post, I’m at a place where I need to simplify my life to relieve some stress, but instead of giving up on Project Life altogether I am transitioning to using the app. I wanted to share my first spread using the app in a separate post which will be coming soon. Anyway, this spread from April is one of my favorites, I think. It’s just so springy and happy. Granted, I wasn’t always feeling happy during this time, in fact there were some pretty tough days, but this time I chose to save those for my journal. I had a ticket stub from…

project life 2015 : march

April 14, 2015

March’s Project Life is in the books. Two spreads for the month again. Here is a look at the first half: Liam was baptized at the beginning of March and most of this page is dedicated to that. I saved part of a Cracker Barrel bag for this pocket and added a tag for the journaling. I used some of Meredith’s artwork in a pocket here; I’m enjoying that practice! Here is the spread for the second half of the month: Most of the photos on this side are from trips to the park. It really turned to spring during this time so we started taking lots of walks there. I loved this photo of Meredith and I so I…

project life 2015 : february

March 9, 2015

Today I have February’s Project Life spreads to share. They are still basically one week per page, with a total of two full spreads per month, but grouped together monthly without weekly title cards. Here is the first layout: During the first two weeks of February we had my birthday and Valentine’s Day. I got some watercolors for Meredith so I cut down one of her paintings to include. The “yes please” cards are a freebie printable that can be found here. During this time we also went to a birthday party for our neighborhood friend Jack. Below is one of the Valentine’s Day cards that I made using Meredith’s watercolor art. I made these just for David and the…

project life 2015 : january

February 6, 2015

Welcome to my first Project Life post of 2015! Before I share my pages I have a couple things to share about how I’m structuring my album and how the process will go for me. I know I said I was going to keep everything basically the same as last year, but I wanted to change up the title cards. When I saw these monthly calendar templates I knew they would be perfect, and I decided to add a picture of the kids in the same basic pose for each month. But these were monthly title cards and I usually complete a spread every two weeks. Sooo…I’m doing a mixture. What I mean is, I’m only going to have a title…

project life 2014 : weeks 51 – 52

January 8, 2015

Finished up 2014! Even though this time period included Christmas I didn’t even do an insert because I will be putting together a holiday minibook (eventually). I really just wanted to get this done, and I did. I definitely didn’t feel like doing an end page but I hated the look of the empty page protectors, so I did this. And now I’m thinking I might do something similar for my 2015 title page because I really don’t have time to get creative or take additional photos just for that. We’ll see! 0 Like
