I can’t post a picture of my entire wedding dress, because David is Not Allowed to see it. But here’s a close-up of part of it. Which part? That’s a secret too.

photo of the day, take two
Time for a study break… So I’ve been lax with my “photo of the day” feature (in the sidebar) for awhile since I got busy finishing up school and such, but I’ve been thinking about it a lot lately. First I thought, “I’ll change it to a photo of the week feature,” then I thought, “I’ll just get rid of it altogether,” before finally deciding to make a renewed effort at keeping it up. Folks, I am not a photographer, but I do enjoy pictures. I don’t know if you will enjoy my pictures, but if you don’t then you don’t have to look at them. However, if you click on the title to the picture, it will take you to a page where you can see the picture larger, and you can also read my commentary to said picture. Maybe you will enjoy that. I am going to try to keep it up as a practice of discipline, so the pictures may not always be interesting. The point is that they will be there. Thanks for humoring me with this endeavor! Now I’m going to continue my study break by going to eat Double Dave’s pizza buffet with my roommates for lunch.

saturday morning
I got myself out of bed this morning around 8:45 a.m. because the sun was shining on my face and I was hot. I don’t think I would have awoken but for those two things. I love sleeping in, and that’s why I love Saturdays the best. Cleo sleeps with me every night, and not just at the foot of the bed, either. She likes to burrow underneath the covers for awhile, then comes out, only to burrow again awhile later. I like this little pattern we have together. This morning as soon as I got out of bed she moved into my spot. She thinks she owns this bed. I would say she’s going to get a rude awakening when we move in with David, but I think she’ll be too distracted eating all the treats, playing with other dogs, and chasing the cat around the house to even notice me.

Checking In
My friend Lauren from school called me today and was all, “Are you freaking out about the NCLEX yet? How much have you studied? How are you studying? When do you start work? What is our first week going to be like? Did you realized NCLEX is less than two weeks away?!?” Um, I wasn’t freaking out until I talked to her. OH MY GOSH NCLEX IS LESS THAN TWO WEEKS AWAY. AND I START MY JOB ON MONDAY, MONDAY AS IN FOUR DAYS FROM TODAY. So excuse me while I go hide myself away with some Quakes rice snacks, my dog, and my review book. Hopefully I shall emerge at some point this weekend for some air.

Purgatory
David: I’m going to go to purgatory.
Me: No you’re not!
David: Yes I am, and it’s going to one giant poker game. But really if you win the game you go to hell, and I’ll try really hard to win but then I won’t because I stink, and then I’ll go to heaven!
Me: …
David: What? You don’t believe me? Why not?
Me: Because the Bible doesn’t say anything about that.
David: It doesn’t say anything about purgatory being a giant poker game?
Me: No.
David: Huh. I think we just interpret it differently.
