Review and Giveaway: SnapSac!

November 22, 2011

I was happy to be contacted by SnapSac! for a review and giveaway, because they make awesome reusable totes which are just the kind of thing I use all the time. And also, because isn’t Snapsac! such a fun thing to say? (Exclamation point added by me, because I think it’s appropriate.) So anyway, SnapSac makes reusable bags that are perfect to stock up on for the grocery store, weekend outings, or really anything. Here is the one they sent me: It’s a super tote, and it IS super. Excuse my awkward posing. Right after I got it I put it to the test and I used it all during my brother’s wedding day. I had so many errands to…

meredith at four months

November 20, 2011

She: >Weighs 15 pounds, 3 ounces and is 25 inches long (near the 75th percentile for both)! >Could fill a lake with all her drool (this is my least favorite part of babies I think). >Looooves her hands, especially when they’re in her mouth. >Also loves being naked, and is starting to actively resist a new diaper. >Is interested in toys now! She reaches for them and stuffs them in her mouth and hugs them. So cute. >Smiles unfailingly when we hold her up to the mirror next to our faces. >Had her first real sickness requiring a doctor visit and time home from daycare. It was bronchiolitis and it was not fun for any of us. >Will actually take…

Christmas Wish List

November 20, 2011

Every year my family is supposed to finalize our Christmas lists by Thanksgiving. When I was coming up with mine, this is what came to mind: New tires for my car Our carpet replaced Hire me an electrician to fix the broken outlets in our house New blinds in our bedroom Exterminator services Cloth diapers But since that’s completely unsatisfying for the giver and receiver, instead I’m asking for these things: Keurig Elite – as much as I love my French Press regular coffee, I think I’d love the Keurig to save me time and give me more options. The Marriage Plot by Jeffrey Eugenides – It’s the next book for #twookclub, too popular to get from the library in…

Weekend Activities, Self-Reflection, and Baby Hair Control

November 14, 2011

So I had a really good weekend. It was a perfect mix of productive and fun. I could have possibly used a bit more relaxing at home time, but you can’t win ’em all. I was so proud of all that I had accomplished on Saturday that I was bragging to David at the end of the day. Me, with smug satisfaction: …and I even showered, and shaved my legs, and plucked my eyebrows, and completely groomed myself! David: Honey, MOST people do that. Me, not quite so smug: Well, so do I, OBVIOUSLY. Just…not all the time. *** Because of some things that have happened lately I have been examining myself and how I handle conflict. I have come to…
