Christmas Is A-Comin

Katy tagged me to complete this Christmas survey, and since I am full of holiday cheer, I would like to share it with you. Also, I tag Tabaitha, Megan/Peter, and Erica to complete it, if they so wish. Without further ado: 1. What kind of tree do you have? We have about a 3-foot high artificial tree that we take very seriously. It is decorated with a theme of gold and cream colored ornaments, and it took us a good two hours to get it just right. Every time Cleo knocks an ornament off with her tail it is a crisis. 2. What is your favorite Christmas movie? I think I have to say Home Alone. So hilarious, so classic….

I can’t believe that you have actually graduated from college. In my mind you’re still the little boy who was obsessed with baseball, slept in all those weird positions, let me kiss his tummy, and wanted to be called a new nickname every day. I guess you’re still obsessed with baseball and sleep in weird positions, but now I just pat your tummy and only one nickname has really stuck. Not that anyone is reading this anymore, but just in case, I wanted to let you know that I’m headed to Lubbock for the weekend to watch my youngest brother graduate from Texas Tech. THAT makes me feel old. Anyway, I’ll be back early next week to continue posting for my own benefit.

Making The Grade (Or Not)

I took the final in my pediatric nursing class this morning. This is a class that I disliked the entire way through, and which had a reputation for being very difficult. I got a low B on the first test, freaked out, and then worked really hard the rest of the semester and pulled off low A’s on the next two tests and a perfect score on a group presentation. The way things stood, if I got a 91 on the final this morning, I would get an A in the class. Well, the grades were just posted, and I got a 90. Talk about frustrating to a perfectionist like me.
