LIGHT : april (one little word update)

I don’t have a whole lot to report about my journey with my word for the year except that for most of April I was definitely not feeling light. It was a super hard month of parenting and I wasn’t feeling proud of the way I handled the stress. However, having the word “light” in the back of my mind allowed me to make the decision toward the end of the month to let some things go and release a lot of the pressure I put on myself. I had to get back to the root of why I chose my word: “light” is how I want to feel on the inside. Sure, I would love to completely declutter our house…

project life 2015 : april 1

Today I’m sharing one spread with you, from the first half of April. As I mentioned in this post, I’m at a place where I need to simplify my life to relieve some stress, but instead of giving up on Project Life altogether I am transitioning to using the app. I wanted to share my first spread using the app in a separate post which will be coming soon. Anyway, this spread from April is one of my favorites, I think. It’s just so springy and happy. Granted, I wasn’t always feeling happy during this time, in fact there were some pretty tough days, but this time I chose to save those for my journal. I had a ticket stub from…

week in the life 2014 : sunday in the album

Finally, the last update of my 2014 week in the life album! I’m so glad to have this in the books. More of my overall thoughts about the project at the end, but first here is a typical Sunday for us. Sunday mornings involve finishing up whatever chores I didn’t quite get to the day before (this day it was washing diapers) and lots of playing and lounging with the kids before getting ready for church. Then we all head to church! We meet in an elementary school currently.
