My Spring Reading List

Well, here it is, my reading intentions for this spring! I have started a couple of them, and many of the rest are books that I’ve had for awhile but haven’t read. This is a little intimidating, but I guess that’s why it’s a challenge!

Nonfiction:
Stranger Beside Me by Ann Rule
The Secret Life of Houdini by William Kalush and Larry Sloman

Fiction:
~~The Maltese Falcon~~ by Dashiell Hammett
~~Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell~~ by Susanna Clarke
Dead Souls by Nikolai Gogol

Christian:
Girl Meets God by Lauren Winner
~~Journey of Desire~~ by John Eldredge

A few of these books have quite a lot of pages within their covers, and on top of book club books I’m not sure how this is going to go, but it will be fun either way. If you’ve read any of these books I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks for stopping over & letting me know about the Nicholas Sparks books! I had such a hard time choosing between the books and I chose The Notebook because I liked the movie better. I might have to go back and change that now! =)

What an impressive list! A friend of mind is reading Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell — in fact, she’s been reading it for MONTHS! She reads other books between chapters because she says it tires her out to get through all the hithers and thithers. :)

I’ve read The Maltese Falcon every summer for three years now. I bought it for a nickel at the Goodwill store and left it at the cabin. One of the best books I’ve read. The movie? Just as good.
