>This is such a simple house, but the plants! Oh, they make it amazing. I need more. (See photo above)

>I think this weekend I’ll make these no-bake chocolate oatmeal cookies for an afternoon snack (for me, mostly).

>Also in the food arena, I love this approach to family meals (and it is similar to what we do). There is also a free menu planner printable that is simple and flexible.

>This week was breastfeeding awareness week. But for anyone who was unable to or struggled to breastfeed their baby, here is a great post.

>I need more short funny video clips in my life. This vine made me think of the classic sheep crash which still makes me laugh.

>Social media: I can’t keep up! I’m still pretty regularly on Instagram. I’m trying to get back to Twitter. I just went through and cleaned up my Pinterest feed (you have to stay on top of that or the “picked for you” pins will take OVER). I check in with weekly highs/lows and weekend plans & recaps on Facebook. Snapchat is still crazy and it’s hard for me to remember to use, but I’m trying (@kapachinoblog over there).

What’s up with your weekend? Tonight Liam gets his hair cut (long overdue); a friend of mine is going to teach me how! We actually don’t have anything scheduled other than that, but a lazy weekend is not going to please a certain 4-year-old no matter how I sell it, so I’m brainstorming a few activities!

We have a birthday party for our friends’ daughter tomorrow, I’m going to a play with my dad tomorrow night and other that, no plans. Which makes this lady happy! I am going to prioritize workouts the next three days, meal planning (again), and we’ll see where we go from there. Happy Friday!

I needed to read the post about breastfeeding. Breastfeeding awareness month has been so difficult for me. This time last year I was holding my barely 1 week old daughter and sobbing because I was having to supplement with formula and felt like a failure. I had always assumed I would breastfeed. Then my milk never actually came in and we had to solely use formula. It was so upsetting! I am finally learning to move past it because at a year my daughter is incredibly healthy (never been sick) and developing normally. It can still be hard though!

We were planning a trip to Calgary to visit my sister and her family but my youngest has the flu, so we’ll probably spend a lot of the weekend lying on the couch instead. This is one of my favourite videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDqaophyWIg&feature=youtu.be I’ve seen it a hundred times and it still cracks me up!

I’m obsessed with plants, too! They completely transform an environment!
