First of all, I’m so excited to be a brand ambassador for Madre Beads, a small business of one mama who makes playful jewelry and accessories for mom + baby. She’ll be restocking soon and I can’t wait!
I love Modern Mrs. Darcy’s annual reading challenges, and here is 2016’s! I hope to try and complete this one.
If I were choosing a word for the year, it would probably be the one Brittany chose.
Interactive books for energetic young readers. These are perfect for my kids.
My friend Miranda is going to be one of the featured makers with The Crafter’s Box in the next few months, and this week she gave a good description of the project!
This is beautiful, but I cried.
And from me, I was featured on The Birth Hour podcast last week where I was able to share Meredith and Liam’s birth stories which were both emergency C-sections. I hope you enjoy!
From Dawn:
I’ve been participating in the Goodreads challenge for several years now and I always plan out my list of books in October or November…long before these fun book challenges get posted. I’ve taken to bookmarking the posts (without reading them through) and then seeing how many I checked off at the end of the year without intending to.
If I did the “word for the year” thing, I agree that grace is a good one. I also really like savor.
From Nora:
Thank you for sharing the NY Times article; I read it and cried. That’s how I feel about marriage, personally, and I think how my dad has felt since my mom passed away. I want to share it with him but I certainly don’t want to make him cry (tough month for us). Probably shouldn’t have read it at my desk during work- hello, tears- but I’m glad I read it. I’m glad others understand how I feel about grief and loss and love and marriage and relationships.
From Melissa:
Some of her necklaces remind me of the Jones Market!
From Mariana Coelho:
MMDs reading challenge sounds totally doable! I might try it too :)
