I never get tired of reading about the things other people are currently loving, so I decided to start my own! // Timex Weekender watch – a gift from my brother and sister-in-law that’s perfect for work // lots of new craft papers from Archiver’s, like this Amy Tangerine paper pad // while our microwave was broken I ate McDonald’s fruit & maple oatmeal for breakfast almost every day // one of my favorite singers has collaborated to make a kids’ folk gospel album, and now that I’ve heard it I’m pretty much ruined on all other kids’ music // maxi skirts and white t-shirts are pretty much my favorite summer outfit // have you seen the trailer for the new Les Miserables movie? I discovered something awesome: putting Meredith in front of Photobooth. I had it on the chipmunk setting. I guess it has facial recognition, and it’s like it registered Meredith’s face, noted her already huge cheeks, and decided it didn’t need to alter them. Me: chipmunk. Her: skeptical, not a chipmunk. Oh look, one of her cheeks is a little bit puffed… She’s over it. This isn’t working. Oh wait. THERE we go.

Since I’ve been on maternity leave I’ve had a lot more time on my hands. It’s not always time that can be used on just anything, though, because the baby refuses to be put down for any stretch of time. So I’ve found myself watching a lot more TV than usual. And since I started writing reviews for ApeDonkey, an entertainment blog run by my brother and his friend, I’ve become even more interested in TV in general. Current Obsession: Time Management iPhone Games

I am what you might call a “casual gamer.” I really enjoy video games, but they’re not my primary or even my secondary hobby. I love our Wii and my favorite games for it are MarioKart, Dr. Mario (old school!), and Kirby’s Epic Yarn. But it’s hard for me to find time to sit down and play these games, especially when the TV is usually being used for other things. I recently upgraded to an iPhone 4 after dealing with the slowness of the 3G for the past year, and now my iPhone experience is completely different. It’s so fast! Apps no longer crash! Current Obsessions: Sick Edition

I started feeling sick on Monday, and by Wednesday afternoon I had thrown in the towel. This cold, or whatever it is, has hit me hard. I won’t get into all my ailments, old lady style, but trust me when I say that they are numerous. The only times that I have ever called in sick to work are when I had gastroenteritis and ended up in the ER, and when I had my miscarriage. But since I’m not allowed to take hardly any medication at the moment I haven’t been able to stay on top of this one.
