Today’s Project Life update is from July 14 – 27. As you can tell, I take a lot of pictures of my kiddos. I keep telling myself to branch out and capture other things, but then I rarely do. New goal!
During these two weeks I finished whole30, we celebrated Meredith’s birthday (I used an insert to document it, pictured at the end), Liam turned 6 months old, and I was sick for a week.
The first ice cream after whole30 deserved to be documented.
At first I was going to print all of the pictures in black and white, but it was just too much. I needed a little bit of color.
I really love cropping photos to add white space. The photo below wasn’t the best shot, but I thought it was so cute how the cousins were lined up on a bench to eat. In memory keeping sometimes it’s better to include the photos that tell the best story rather than the ones that look the nicest.
I actually included two inserts for Meredith’s third birthday party.
Simple, simple! I just love this project!
From Meg O.:
I love your project life!!!! I have always admired how awesome it looks but never started one for myself – maybe I should. It seems relatively easy!
From Nora:
you capture some great moments with your pictures; love the line about ones that tell a story vs. look the nicest.
From Kessi:
Glad I made the cut… but let’s be real, the star of that date was the ice cream!
From Lorraine:
Love your blog and this project! She had a beautiful birthday party, so happy I could attend this family event. Glad you liked some of the photos, too!
From Chelsea:
Great idea! I have years of photos just sitting on my computer, so I’m beyond impressed!
From Ti:
Is that mint chocolate chip with hot fudge that I spy?!
(It looks great, lady! I need to get on with my photo organizing. Eek.)
From Akaleistar:
The cousins picture is so cute!
From Dalziel:
I love that you stay current each week. About how long does something like this take you? I’m years and years behind and am losing the personal touch/stories/small details because I simply forget.
From Kathleen:
I actually wrote a post about my process (including how long everything takes). The most time-consuming part for me is just choosing and editing photos! What also helps me a lot is that I write a few sentences in a 5-year journal every night, so that I can always reference it to see what happened that day.
Read the process post here. Hope this helps!
From donya:
Fantastic pages! I noticed your in Katy? I’m in Spring! So fun to “see” someone nearby using Project Life!
From Kathleen:
Oh so cool that you’re nearby! I’ve been thinking lately that I really want some Houston blogging buddies. Glad to meet you! :)
