about

Hi! I’m Kathleen. I’m a wife and mother in my 30’s living just outside of Houston, Texas.

I’ve been married to my husband David since October 3, 2008. You can read a little more about our wedding here and see pictures here. David generously puts up with my blogging habit. :)

We struggled with infertility and miscarriage for two and a half years before giving birth to our daughter Meredith on July 20, 2011. We welcomed our son Liam into the family on January 17, 2014.

An important part of my story is that my husband is in recovery from substance abuse. He had a major relapse in 2016 and spent many months in rehab in 2017. You can read more of our story here. During an extremely hard year, I was searching for a way to experience God more deeply than what I knew. This led me, through my best friend, to the Catholic Church. As of now, I am in RCIA and will enter the church at Easter 2018.

A few more things about me: I’m a working mom, an oncology nurse at an outpatient infusion clinic and I find it extremely challenging and rewarding. Self-care is high on my list of importance, including taking time for personal interests and projects. I’m a planner, a list maker, and a goal setter; an ISFJ and Enneagram 9.

I’m so happy you are here!
