It’s Not Just For Looking Pretty

December 28, 2008

Oh right, I have a blog, and it’s something I’m supposed to WRITE in. I guess I’ve given myself kind of a break, because of the whole my-husband-had-surgery-right-before-we-moved-into-our-new-house business. We are having a lot of fun being there, but it sure is a lot of work. We still have a lot of walls to paint, fixtures, furniture, and other necessities to buy, as well as unpacking and organizing to do. There are times when it’s overwhelming, because I simply don’t have the time or energy to get it all done anytime soon, which is what my personality dictates. Thankful

November 26, 2008

Twilight on Opening Night

November 22, 2008

I have to say that my husband is awesome for taking me to see Twilight on opening night, and he only complained a little bit. I did very much enjoy the movie, although I will say it was a little cheesy. I don’t think the hundreds of teenage girls who were there with us thought that, though. They would burst out in squeals at the tiniest thing. David would rub his head, shift in his seat, and say to me, “I just don’t get it! Nothing happened, why are they cheering?” And I would say to him things like, “It’s because Edward is wearing sunglasses now.” Admittedly, it wasn’t the circumstances I prefer to see a movie in either, but…
