I visited my brothers’ house last night, and even though it is a total bachelor pad, complete with ping-pong table set up where the dining room table should be, there are two things there that could keep me amused forever: Bentley, the puppy, and Hampton, the hamster. Both are just way too adorable!

When I was sans car yesterday I took the bus home from work. I was reading patiently at the bus stop until one of these little guys fell into my lap. Then another one fell on my shoulder. I looked up and discovered that the roof of the bus stop cover was full of them, and they were crawling all around the bench as well. I moved shortly after.

My youngest brother Barry, on the right, teaches theater at a small school. Friday was their production complete with a homemade spaghetti dinner. David bought a t-shirt that they were selling and threw it on. (My other brother David designed the shirts.) These guys are good friends now, which makes me so happy. Here they are after the show.

This is one of the houses I walk by when I park (for free) at Rice University and walk to Methodist. It is a dream of mine to be able to walk or bike to work. Maybe one day…

My dad and I went on a date last Friday night. We went to our favorite place, the Alamo Drafthouse. I decided that this is my favorite date venue, and if we had gotten ice cream on the way home it would have been perfect!
