Getting Things Done

Oh my gosh. Stuff is happening, people. For starters, I graduated. After a longish boring ceremony, they finally announced, “You may now move your tassels from the right to the left,” and a shiver went down my spine. It was a very special moment. Then we sang “The Eyes of Texas,” and it was over. Yay me! Only one more hurdle to jump before I am an official RN. I have to pass the NCLEX, the state board exam. I scheduled it for June 11 at 8 a.m. I am nervous, and really need to kick the studying up a notch. To that end I am taking another review course this week. In fact, it is going on right this…

Wedding Update

For those of you who are following, it is now approximately five months until my wedding. I figured I’d give you an update every once in awhile about it for those of you who are interested. At this point I really haven’t done a whole lot more, but things are moving along slowly. Hopefully the planning process will pick up now that I’m done with school. What I have done since I last wrote about this: Chose the color scheme – brown and light blue. Miscellaneous Internet Things

The beginnings of our wedding website are up. Although right now it’s just a “coming soon” site, I’m still excited about it. My brother, of course, is designing it. Find it at davidandkathleen.net. [ETA: website is no longer in operation.] I don’t know if anyone was viewing my photo of the day, but you might have noticed that it hasn’t changed in awhile. This is because that feature isn’t working well and we can’t figure it out. So enjoy the coconut for awhile longer while we work on installing a photo of the day feature that actually works. Spring Break, Where Did You Go?

Dear friends, Hello, how is everyone doing today? I’m great, thank you. The internet is still not working at the house I’m staying at, so I’m writing from school. Today I have a test, a quiz, a presentation, and a paper due. I’ll be glad when it’s all over. Since I haven’t been able to be in touch, I’m going to let you in on what has been going on with me. I guess I’m somewhat stressed out with all the stuff going on in my life, because lately I’ve just been crying at random times, over something that seems trivial. Busy Bee

Since I wrote last I: Hosted a Pampered Chef party and scored over $200 of free products Went to the doctor and got a physical, a blood test, a TB skin test, and a tetanus booster (I’ve pretty much conquered my fear of needles) Visited 4 possible ceremony/reception venues and ruled out 3 of them Tried on some wedding dresses and decided that I definitely need to tone up my arms Finished the book The Friday Night Knitting Club – it was alright Watched the Academy Awards on fast forward and stayed up too late doing so Now I need to get myself to bed ASAP…another 12-hour shift coming up!
